Special Tags for Event Sites and Mail

You can make your event site or attendee/registrant emails more dynamic by adding a few special tags to the usual content.

The detail related tags (the ones that look like {{ this }}) use a system called Liquid. Just slot in the information you want, where you want it.

Event Related

These can be used in the event site home page content, as well as when mailing either registrants or attendees.

• {{ event.venue }}
• {{ event.start_date }}
• {{ event.start_time }}
• {{ event.end_date }}
• {{ event.end_time }}
• {{ event.capacity }}
• {{ event.places_left }}

Registrant Details

These can be used when mailing either registrants or attendees.

• {{ registrant.name }} - the name of the person who made the booking
• {{ registrant.email }} - the email address of the person who made the booking
• {{ registrant.organization }} - the company or organization of the person who made the booking

Attendee Details

These can be used only when mailing attendees.

• {{ booking.id }} - the booking number that includes the attendee's ticket
• {{ attendee.name }}
• {{ attendee.email }}
• {{ attendee.ticket_type }}
• {{ attendee.requirements }}

Formatting

These can only be used in the event site home page content. They will have no effect in mail.

This uses a system called Textile.

• _emphasis_ - so are you talking to _me_ would make me emphasized, which is usually displayed in italics.

• "link text":http://link.url - for example, "Event Wax":http://www.eventwax.com will make the text Event Wax into a link that points to http://www.eventwax.com/.

• * unordered list item - if you put * this on one line, and * that on the next, they will each become items in a (usually bulleted) list.
